Polar Explorer Topic: Intro to Control Sequences.
Teacher: What kind of clothes do you think I need to wear if I was a polar explorer?
Student: You could make some warm clothes, with a 3D printer!
In Y2 we introduced the Explorer topic for the term which, in Computing, includes control sequences, Beebots, coding in Hopscotch built into ‘Polar Journeys’ exploration.
We talked about climate, and the kinds of clothes we might wear to travel around polar locations.
One student said, “Find some animals and use their skin”.
Another offered this alternative which turned out to be a perfectly digital solution!
